Announcement of New Musical Director

Leopard Coachlines Canterbury Brass are pleased to announce that their new Director of Music is Nathaniel Griffiths.
Nathaniel is currently completing a Bachelor of Music through the University of Tasmania’s Conservatorium of Music. He was a participant in the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra’s inaugural Australian Conductors Academy (2018), an initiative providing professional training to aspiring conductors. Nathaniel was also the Musical Director of Glenorchy City Concert Brass (2018-19), Tasmania’s premiere A grade brass band, and studied with renowned conductor Johannes Fritzsch whilst residing in Hobart.
While studying in Brisbane, he was engaged as a conductor by the Indooroopilly Chamber Orchestra, Queensland Korean Orchestra Junior Strings, and Sunnybank Brass Bands, as well as in performances with the Queensland Conservatorium Brass Band.
Band Chairperson Kevin McMorran said “we are thrilled to welcome Nathaniel to the Band. His musical expertise and experience coupled with the wonderful culture of the Band will provide a solid foundation for our musical growth”.
We would like to record our grateful thanks to Dwayne Bloomfield for leading the Band since 2014. We wish Dwayne all the best for the future.
